John Barry, our Managing Director, is a practitioner in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management. A graduate in law and a Mediator. John began his HR career with the Ford Motor Company Dagenham, England as a Labour Relations officer.
In 1980 John relocated to Ireland and worked for the Federated Union of Employers (now IBEC) as an Industrial Relations Executive where he worked in the Distribution and Services Division, advising and representing Employers in all matters concerning Human Resources and Industrial Relations.
In 1988, John established Management Support Services (Ireland) Limited and MSS Recruitment. The company provides advice and representation on all matters concerning Irish Employment Law, best HR Practice and Procedures, Industrial Relations, Recruitment Services and an onsite HR Administration Service to a broad range of companies, small, medium and large.
MSS have also been retained by Employer Associations, Professional Firms and Company Groups to provide advice and assistance to their members, Clients or Associates.John is the Co- Author of two books, “Practical Employment Law” and “What is the Law? Termination and Redundancy”.
John served on a number of Joint Labour Committees, concerning the Security Industry and the Catering Industry and was also on the panel of Employer Representatives for the Construction Industry Tribunal.
David Casey, our Recruitment Director, has a comprehensive background in the Recruitment Industry, excellent market knowledge and awareness. David’s understanding of the needs of an employer comes from a career spanning Industrial Engineering, Personnel and Business set up and development.
David has extensive experience in Executive Search and Placement both in the domestic and international markets. As the HR Services Manager, Tara manages and oversees the MSS HR services to a wide range of employers, providing specialist HR support and advice.
As an experienced human resources and employment law professional with over thirteen years’ hands-on experience, Tara is well familiar with the challenges employers face and is experienced at guiding them through the complexities of employment legislation.
Tara has worked across all areas of HR including; HR function set up and management, company auditing to ensure compliance with current legislation; employment contracts; redundancy and restructuring processes, change management, company policy, procedures and handbook development; mediation; training; and assistance and management in disciplinary matters and bullying/harassment cases.
Tara has provided HR services to companies of all sizes and across multiple business sectors and holds a ‘Bachelor of Science, (Hons Degree) in Human Resources Management’ from DIT, as well as a Practising Certificate with the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland (MII)

Amy provides HR support and guidance to a wide range of clients across multiple business sectors.
As a skilled human resources and employment law consultant with over ten years’ hands-on experience, Amy understands the challenges employers face and is experienced at guiding them through the complexities of employment legislation.
Her areas of expertise include company auditing to ensure compliance with current legislation; employment contracts; company policy, procedures and handbook development; performance management consulting; restructuring and redundancy consulting; development of job descriptions and assistance and management in disciplinary matters and bullying/harassment cases.
Amy is committed to providing an excellent service to her clients and her enthusiastic approach and belief in “going that extra mile” means that she is continually assessing her client’s requirements to ensure that all of their needs are met.
Amanda is responsible for the overall HR function within a number of client sites through the MSS OnSite HR service which provides onsite HR support for small and medium sized businesses.
Amanda has experience in all areas of HR including Employee Relations, Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development and has worked in various organisations ranging from SME's to larger organisations across a broad range of business sectors. In addition to studying Human Resources Management Amanda is dedicated to ongoing professional development.
She is passionate about HR and strives to be the first point of contact for all her clients HR queries and ensure that they are fully compliant with employment legislation.
Kamila holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and, having worked in the retail industry managing staff, has followed her passion to work in HR.
As part of the MSS HR Services team Kamila is committed to providing high standards of support for her Clients. Kamila regularly advises and assists on employment law matters, workplace investigations, recruitment, Terms and Conditions of Employment, and conducts HR Audits for organisations across a wide range of industries, advising them on best practice and compliance with employment law and updating them where necessary to ensure best practice.
In addition to HR Support services for clients, Kamila also provides OnSite HR support to a number of MSS clients which involves attending on site and being responsible for the management of all HR procedures in the clients company along with addressing local HR issues when they arise.
Clare Barry trained as a nurse in Ireland and after qualifying went on to do further training in Midwifery and Theatre in Scotland and England.
On her return to Ireland she became a Theatre Sister in Dublin before commencing training as a psychotherapist. Clare qualified in 2005 and has gone on to become a Supervisor providing support to qualified psychotherapists and is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
Clare has successfully developed her own private practice and, in conjunction with MSS, now offers this service to Clients whose employees may need support to help them overcome a traumatic experience at work or to address issues which may be affecting them in their job.
Clare’s approach to her work is summarised in her motto that her “aim is not to see through you but to see you through"
Jennifer joined MSS in August 2018 after working in a number of HR roles where she developed her skills in recruitment, HR Support and completed her HR Diploma. Prior to her HR career, Jennifer held a number of management roles in the Catering Industry where she was involved in overseeing the daily operations of the service and gained a broad experience in managing and solving people issues.
Jennifer, as part of our HR Services Team, provides day to day support and guidance to clients, across multiple business sectors, including conducting HR audits to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice, assisting in performance management issues, handling disciplinary issues, grievances and dignity at work investigations.
Jennifer’s broad experience from her catering career, combined with managing HR from the ground floor, brings a depth of real experience to managing day to day people issues that otherwise could so easily end up becoming a problem. Jennifer, as part of the MSS Team, is committed to delivering strong people focused solutions, ensuring issues are addressed in a positive manner and in a way that best protects the interests of all concerned, and developing employees so that they can make real contribution to any business.
She is the first point of contact for all of our clients and is sure to make you feel welcome.
Together with ensuring the efficient running of the MSS office, her role requires her to support our team with our many administration needs.
