By its very nature employing people will, at some time, result in either the employer or the employee having a grievance. Examples of employee grievances are as follows:
- Rates of pay / Terms and conditions of employment
- Distribution of overtime
- Career development
- Changes in work practices
- Termination of employment
Many of these areas are not covered directly by employment legislation but can be a source of unrest if not properly addressed, resulting in disgruntled employees who seek outside assistance in the form of Trade Unions or referral to the Workplace Relations Commission / Labour Court.
MSS can, through its experience in these areas, provide assistance in finding solutions or representing the employer’s interest when dealing with third parties.
