Head of Operations


Dogs Trust Ireland CLG is currently seeking a strategic thinker who is collaborative, reliable and experienced for the position of Head of Operations.
The Head of Operations will be responsible for planning operations in accordance with the organisation’s strategic objectives, in order to help every dog live life to the full.
The postholder will lead Rehoming Managers in the implementation of plans under the strategy, optimising Dogs Trust’s rehoming operations across Ireland to achieve high standards and consistent delivery of dog welfare, customer service and operational procedures.
They will contribute to and support the implementation of the wider Dogs Trust Ireland strategy, working proactively with other teams across the organisation. This will include Veterinary, Canine Behaviour, Fundraising, Development, Communications, and Research teams to enable and support the delivery of the wider strategic goals.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong people management skills with experience of managing and coaching a team of onsite and remote staff to deliver high performance and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will have experience of managing a complex multi-site operation and devising and monitoring performance standards, KPIs and SOPs and Health and Safety compliance.
